Getting started
How quickly can care start?
Usually within a few days of your first call. If care is needed urgently, tell us and we will do our best to start sooner.
What happens at the free assessment?
We visit at a time that suits you, meet your loved one and talk through their routines, needs and preferences. Then we put a care plan and a clear quote in writing.
Do you provide care on weekends and holidays?
Yes. Care is available 24/7, including weekends and holidays.
Costs and payment
How much does home care cost?
It depends on the hours and type of care. After your free assessment we give you a clear quote in writing, before anything starts. Read our guide to what home care costs in Pittsburgh.
Can insurance or Medicaid help pay for care?
Medicare usually does not cover non-medical home care, but long-term care insurance, VA benefits or Pennsylvania Medicaid programs may help. We can talk you through the options. Read our guide to paying for home care in Pennsylvania.
Can we change the care plan later?
Yes. Needs change, and the plan changes with them. Tell us and we will review the hours and tasks together.
Caregivers
Are your caregivers checked and trained?
Yes. Every caregiver is screened, background-checked and trained before their first visit, and is fully insured.
Will we see the same caregiver each time?
We match a small, consistent team to your loved one, so they see familiar faces at every visit.
What if my loved one doesn’t click with their caregiver?
Just tell us. We will listen and introduce a different caregiver who is a better fit.
Our services
What’s the difference between personal care and housekeeping?
Personal care is hands-on help with things like bathing, dressing and moving around. Housekeeping looks after the home itself: cleaning, laundry and fresh linens. Many families combine both.
Do you offer live-in care?
Yes. A dedicated caregiver lives in the home to provide round-the-clock support.
Which areas do you cover?
Pittsburgh and communities across Allegheny County. Call us or send your ZIP code through our contact form to check.
